2017 Mittelburgenland DAC Ried Hochäcker trocken "Urknall", Burgenland, Austria

Delicately tart nose, mixed berries with a hint of cherries, vegetal and herbaceous traces. Tart, juicy, youthful, fairly firm fruit on the palate, delicate nutty and spicy notes, some more dried herbs, fine tannins, light acidbite, good persistence, light mineral notes in the background, light grip, peppery traces, very slightly smoky, good to very good finish. Was obviously still totally closed when first tasted a year ago.
