2020 Schweighofen Spätburgunder trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Somewhat tart, slightly roasted aroma of predominantly dark berries and a little cherry with smoky notes, a hint of pepper and dried herbs. Quite firm, youthful, dark fruit, clear, smoky and bitter-roasted wood, fine sandy, still somewhat drying tannins, has strength and substance, dried-vegetable tones in the background, some pepper and juniper, malty nuances, a little bread crust, good persistence, salt in the background, very good, quite firm finish, again with a little bitter, sooty wood spice.
