2022 Wachenheim Gerümpel Riesling trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Relatively cool, firm, somewhat vegetal to herbaceous and slightly almondy nose with pome and stone fruit notes and a hint of fennel and bacon. Polished fruit with a delicate sweetish mellowness, lively yet fine acidity, delicate grip, some persistence, red berries and white tea in the background, hints of fresh butter, light minerality, good to very good finish that loses some of its tension with air.
