2021 Landwein "Jaspis Unterirdisch", Oberrhein, Germany

Light, somewhat cloudy ochre-orange colour. Nutty and yeasty aromas of dried flowers, spiced bread bark, ripe pears, some hibiscus and elderberry with a hint of hay, cigar ash and aromatic smoke. Firm, tart fruit with smoky, nutty and yeasty flavours, again some hay and dried flowers, relatively present acidity and a lot of grip from crumbly-sandy tannin, a little cauliflower in the background, bamboo shoots, again some cigar ash, good persistence, relatively slender character, very good, firm, tart finish with grip and spice.
