2021 Syrah Landwein "Jaspis Däublin", Oberrhein, Germany

Firm, quite deep and polished, tart, delicately smoky and hints of bacon and meat on the nose, predominantly dark berries and cherries, with delicate vegetable and ethereal-herbal notes. Ripe and yet cool, juicy, dense, polished fruit, crumbly tannin, delicate bite and grip, smoky nuances in the background, a hint of bacon, dried wild mushrooms and juniper, persistent, good substance and depth, also has freshness and elegance, still young, very good, firm, finely juicy and slightly ethereal-spicy finish with noble meaty tones.
