2018 Heitersheim Sonnhohle Spätburgunder trocken, Baden, Germany

Slightly smoky, nutty and a hint of malty aroma of partly preserved black and red berries with moderate, hinted tobacco wood notes and a hint of sal ammoniac. Slightly muted red and black fruit, smoky, toasty wood flavours and sandy, somewhat drying tannin, a little flowing contours, nutty and bitter chocolate notes on the palate, relatively warm style, not very deep, lacks a little tension and precision for higher consecrations, malty hints, good, a little chocolaty finish with ripe juice and bread spices.
