2000 Spätburgunder trocken Edition Zähringer Löwe SZ, Baden, Germany

Alcohol-strong nose of preserved black berries and plums with cool wood spice and rustic notes. Juicy, dark fruit with tart spicy oak and roasted notes, drying tannins, lots of strength and noticeable alcohol on the palate, not very deep, rustic, smoky-spicy finish.
