2019 Hergolshausen Mainleite Spätburgunder trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Somewhat nutty, bacony, herbal and slightly preserved aroma of predominantly black berries with a little sour cherries and liquorice. Clear, juicy, firm fruit with slightly nutty wood flavours and some cocoa, quite fine tannin, good substance and persistence, hints of pepper and cumin, a touch of salt and chalk, some depth, very good, juicy finish with bite.
