2021 Iphofen Kalb Kerner "225", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Tart citrus scent with some pear as well as nutty, somewhat herbal and delicately floral aromas. Partly candied, sweetish fruit with nutty aromas and hints of yellow spice, slightly smoky and woody on the palate, has grip and lively acidity, some persistence, some salt, herbal-herbal nuances, good to very good, sweetish, spicy and grippy, hints of bacon finish.
