2019 trocken Cuvée "Johann", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Rather tart, somewhat smoky nose, predominantly dark berries, with aromas reminiscent of mixed pickles, meaty and leathery nuances, a hint of tobacco and dark ethereal notes. Tart, somewhat smooth dark fruit, nutty, vegetal and leathery tones, a little tomato paste and paprika, crumbly tannins, slight bite, certain persistence, good, tart, very slightly drying finish with a hint of salt.
