2022 Saulheim Chardonnay-Weißburgunder trocken "Kalk & Kreide", Rheinhessen, Germany

Rather light, delicately floral, somewhat almondy and vegetal to herbaceous nose, yellow fruit with a hint of white berries and mushrooms. Clear, finely juicy fruit with a delicately sweetish melt, a hint of red berries and butter, fine acidity, has some grip, good persistence, smoky and yellow-spicy hints in the background, hints of barrel wood, salty and chalky minerality, very good finish with bite.
