Slightly smoky and chalky nose of red and black berries with red and black berry flavours, a hint of cherries and some tree bark. Ripe, quite juicy, very slightly warm fruit, nutty and moderately chocolaty woody spice, smoky notes, crumbly-sandy tannins, a certain power and persistence, sooty-roasted nuances, a little chalk on the finish, very good, somewhat woody-spicy finish with warm dark fruit.
