2009 Wachau Ried Höhereck Grüner Veltliner Smaragd® trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Prominent vegetal and light earthy notes on the nose, restrained yellow fruit, hint of mushrooms. Ripe, creamy, warm fruit on the palate, vegetal, herbaceous and intense mineral notes, more mushroomy traaces, full-bodied and persistent, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, very good creamy finish.

Editor note: Fairly concentrated nose, ripe, partly dried pomaceous fruit, tart spice and tobacco, nutty and mineral notes, vegetal traces and light oak. Full-bodied, very creamy and spicy on the palate, oak, earthy notes and some tobacco, elegant acidity, persistent and has some depth, noticeable alcohol, quite complex, light waxy note, very good finish.
