2018 Oberrotweil Eichberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Baden, Germany

Slightly smoky aroma of black and a little red berries with hints of cherry as well as vegetal and floral nuances. Somewhat smoky on the palate too, not completely dry fruit, lively acidity and fine sandy tannins, roasted nuances, some pepper and planty tones again, certain persistence, a hint of cola nut and aniseed, a hint of salt, very good finish.

Ripe, juicy, somewhat warm fruit with smoky and again spicy wood aromas, fine acid bite, grippy, youthful tannin, persistent on the palate, a little toasty, mineral notes in the background, a little salt, also ethereal hints, aniseed tones, very good, firm, juicy and spicy finish with grip.
