Very slightly developed, rather woody nose of ripe, partly dried red and black berries with some laurel as well as peppery and nutty tones. Tart fruit with noticeable, toasty, somewhat bitter wood, coffee grounds, bitter chocolate and smoke, a little dried herbs and hints of pepper, also salty-mineral notes in the background, sandy, somewhat drying tannin, noticeable alcohol, malty hints, a little ash, good to very good, again somewhat brittle and alcoholic finish.

Best to drink: 2022-2027+. What our ratings mean
