2021 Klingenberg Spätburgunder VDP.Ortswein trocken Alte Reben, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Slightly nutty, tobacco and a hint of juniper on the nose, with fine black and some red berry notes, moderate barrel notes, a little bacon, mushrooms and a hint of tomato paste and smoke. Tart, lean and cool fruit, quite present acidity and youthful, fine sandy tannins, chalky-salty tones in the background, some ivy, pepper and juniper, good persistence, almost cold style, rather sinewy, good to very good finish.
