Firm, somewhat smoky aroma of more black than red forest berries with tobacco flavours, moderate barrel tones and a hint of root vegetables in the background. Firm, tart, juicy, cool fruit, lively, fine acidity and quite polished, yet still youthful tannins, herbaceous nuances in the background, flavours reminiscent of shiitake mushrooms, also bamboo shoots and soy, good persistence, salty in the background, slender, rather sinewy style, very good, tart finish with bite and again tobacco notes.

Best to drink: Mitte 2024 bis 2029+. What our ratings mean
