2020 Klingenberg Schloßberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Cool, clearly vegetal to herbaceous nose, slightly reminiscent of fresh marjoram, predominantly dark berries with a hint of cherries, a little smoke and ivy. Tart, juicy, cool, slender fruit with smoky and slightly roasted tones, some pepper, hints of juniper and marjoram again, fine sandy tannins and a certain acid bite, good persistence, elegant style, certain depth, salty, chalky minerality, a little cigar tobacco and ash, citrus zest with air, very good, quite firm, somewhat smoky, roasted finish, again with cherry notes and parsley root.
