2020 Bürgstadt Hunsrück Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm and quite deep, somewhat smoky nose of black and red berries with cherry aromas, dried floral nuances, a touch of liquorice, juniper, pepper and tobacco. Ripe, tightly knit, noble, relatively dark fruit, present, crumbly-sandy tannin and some bite, smoky and slightly peppery-ethereal notes, also again juniper nuances, slightly toasty wood flavours, lasting, certain depth, firm construction, still completely undeveloped, very good, concentrated, tart-juicy and -spicy finish.
