2017 Bürgstadt Hunsrück Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm, fairly tart nose, hint of bacon, peppery notes, red andblack berries, herbaceous traces, prominent mineral notes. Clear, firm, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, light smoky oak, light herbaceous notes, peppery traces, persistent, some bite and firm grip provided by fine sandy tannins, still undeveloped, hint of citrus zests, slightly astringent tannins, peppery and smoky traces, mineral notes on a very good, firm finish.
