2016 Bürgstadt Hunsrück Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs, Franconia/Franken, Germany

firm, deep, cool nose, liight toasted notes, red and a few black berries, whiff of cherries, hint of tobacco, bacon, mustard seed, peppery and mineral traces. Ripe, firm, juicy fruit on the palate, fairly cool style, light herbaceous and nutty aromas, hint of tobacco, some cocoa and licorice, fine tannins, fairly persistent, medium body, salty notes in the background, hint of citrus fruit and tobacco, still young, smoky traces on a very good firm, fairly juicy finish, with salty notessome bacon and pepper.
