2016 Bürgstadt Berg Spätburgunder trocken VDP.ErsteLage, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm nose, cherries and mixed berries, herbaceous aromas reminiscent of sage, floral traces, pepper, mushrooms, dried herbs, prominent mineral notes. Tart, cool, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, hint of bacon, vegetal, toasted and earthy notes, persistent, very fine tannins, some bite, fairly creamy, hint of cocoa and coffee beans, mushrooms in the background, good substance and depth, still very young, prominent salty notes on a very good, juicy finish.
