2014 Klingenberg Portugieser trocken R, Churfranken, Ortswein, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Fairly depe nose, light smoky, spicy oak, red and black berries, hint of tobacco, light herbaceous and mineral notes. Ripe, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, light toasted, spicy oak, some dark chocolate, herbaceous traces, persistent, very fine youthful tannins, light acid bite, shows significantly more depth with extensive aeration, still very young, mineral notes in the background, complex, elegant style, some bite on a very good, firm, juicy finish.
