2018 Siefersheim Regent, Rheinhessen, Germany

A little developed, somewhat woody, dried-vegetable to herbal and nutty aroma of partly pickled cherries with a hint of mixed berries. Ripe, tangy fruit with slightly nutty and smoky wood flavours, sandy, very slightly drying tannins, good substance and persistence, hints of coffee and malt in the background, salty tones in the very good, only slightly drying finish.
