2022 Chardonnay trocken "R", Baden, Germany

Relatively cool, slightly smoky, somewhat nutty and vegetal to herbaceous nose with fine, rather light yellow fruity aromas, a hint of root vegetables and hints of dried mushrooms. Polished, firm, finely juicy fruit with a slightly sweetish mellowness, a hint of dark berries and nuances reminiscent of artichokes, lively acidity, has some grip of crumbly tannin, good persistence, a certain depth, nutty, smoky and spicy wood notes in the background, also buttery notes, salty minerality, very good finish with bite, smoke and cool, yet ripe juice.
