Aroma of ripe black berries with some roasted wood spice, Mediterranean herbs, a little black olives, smoke, hints of pepper and tobacco. Ripe, tart, quite firm dark fruit, a certain acid bite and present, ripe tannins, smoky and slightly roasted wood notes, a little dried mushrooms on the palate, sour cherry, bacony nuances, again a hint of pepper, persistent, some depth, still undeveloped, salt in the background, Mediterranean herbs and iodine, very good, firm, tart finish.

Best to drink: 2025-2030+. What our ratings mean
