2021 Leimen Herrenberg Blaufränkisch VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken "Spermen R", Baden, Germany

Firm, deep, somewhat nutty, peppery, vegetal and herbaceous nose, partly preserved dark berries with a hint of Amarena cherries and nuances reminiscent of gravy. Polished, tart, firm fruit with precise juice as well as some roasted and bitter chocolate wood flavours, lively acidity, crumbly, quite present tannins, dense and persistent, earthy and salty minerality, hints of grilled vegetables and mint, some depth, also black pepper, certain warmth, very good, firm, juicy finish with a hint of soot.
