2020 Leimen Herrenberg Blauer Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken "Spermen R", Baden, Germany

Warm, somewhat nutty and slightly chocolaty, wood-spicy aroma of very ripe, predominantly red berries with a little black olive, plummy tones, poppy and liquorice. Ripe, melting, almost soft fruit, lots of chocolaty wood with smoky and coffee spicy aromas, present, crumbly sandy tannin, has power and warmth, nut butter in the background, also blueberries, some salt, still very slightly muted, delicately sweet on the palate, very good finish with dark fruit and coffee spice.
