2018 Leimen Herrenberg Blaufränkisch Grosses Gewächs trocken "Spermen R", Baden, Germany

Clear, quite polished fragrance of mixed berries and cherries with dried herbaceous and nutty tones and emerging smoky and finely spiced wood aromas. Ripe, juicy, polished fruit, crumbly-sandy, fine tannin and a certain acid bite, smoky and roasted wood aromas, persistent, somewhat dried-herbal and peppery on the palate, bacony notes, certain depth, salty mineral tones, still undeveloped, very good, firm, juicy finish with tobacco and tart spicy nuances, minerality and bite. Needs a little more time
