Quite firm aroma of predominantly dark berries and partly preserved sour cherries with smoky and very slightly nutty tones as well as a hint of ivy. Tart dark fruit with smoky and toasty wood flavours, again a trace of soot and ivy on the palate, sandy tannin and some acid bite, some warmth, good persistence, hints of liquorice in the background, salty mineral tones, a hint of malt, good to very good finish with dark juice, smoky toasty and spicy flavours and slightly drying tannin.

Best to drink: 2024-2026+. What our ratings mean
