2021 Bockenau Felseneck Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Nahe, Germany

Still completely undeveloped, deep, reductive, very bright citrus scent with peach notes with some celery, smoke, fine mushroom notes, tobacco, orange blossom, juniper and clear minerality. Firmly knit, again bright, brilliantly juicy fruit, some smoke, lots of yeast and present, yet fine, ripe acidity, grippy on the palate, stony minerality, a hint of dark berries, some pineapple, persistent, good depth, still completely unapproachable, very good, dense, juicy and grippy finish with cool juice and enormous minerality reminiscent of rock flour. Becomes deeper, more complex and compelling with air over days.
