Editor note: Reductive nose with a hint of sulphur, becomes more deep with aeration, prominent vegetal and light smoky notes, touch of egg-white, restrained, light yellow fruit aromas, mushrooms, shows more mineral notes with aeration. Light, firm, fairly sweet fruit on the palate, lively acidity, light tannic grip, floral, yeasty, vegetal and herbaceous tracesm hint of red berries, fairly persistent, still undeveloped, mushrooms in the background, intense, gripping mineral notes, some grip on a very good, firm, fairlysweet finish.
Best to drink: 2024-2035+

The production area is located in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany and is named after the river of the same name. There is a lot of preserved evidence of the Romans, who already cultivated wine here. The vineyards cover 4,237 hectares of vines along the river from Hunsrück to the mouth of the Rhine near Bingen.
