2021 Kiedrich Gräfenberg Riesling Spätlese VDP.Grosse Lage, Rheingau, Germany

Firm and deep, rather fine, multi-layered, somewhat vegetal to herbal, almondy and hints of bacon aroma of partly candied yellow fruits with a hint of red berries as well as nuances reminiscent of rhubarb and herbal seedlings. Firm, fine, sweet fruit with slightly black berry notes, very fine acidity, has a grip of ripe tannin, dense and persistent, good depth, sage, honey and dried mushrooms in the background, clear minerality reminiscent of mussel shells, hints of tobacco, long, animating finish with traction.
