2019 Riesling trocken "Monte Vacano", Rheingau, Germany

Very firm, extremely cool, deep and compact, brilliantly pure bouquet with bright yellow fruity aromas, fine herbs, floral hints, hints of wax, traces of dark berries and present minerality. Tremendously tightly woven, dense, tangy, bright fruit, ethereal-herbal and floral nuances, enormous minerality, present, very fine acidity, has bite and plenty of grip, notes reminiscent of sage and laurel, persistent, deep, still completely undeveloped, a hint of black berries in the background, enormous tension, yet with an almost silky texture, completely free of fat and fruit, complex and gripping, long, very firm, extremely mineral finish, again with a lot of grip, plus a hint of bacon and smoke. Doesn't go away any more. A wine of the century; must mature for a long time.
