2020 Assmannshausen Höllenberg Spätburgunder trocken "Zenit", Rheingau, Germany

Quite fine, black and red berry nose with rather fresh herbal notes, a hint of seaweed and tarragon as well as smoky, nutty and floral nuances. Ripe, juicy, very slightly warm fruit with some smoky wood spice, delicate bite and fine, ripe tannins, persistent on the palate, stony minerality, a little smoky salt, red currant reminiscent and delicately minty tones, then also chocolate, very good, quite firm, somewhat warm finish.
