2022 Riesling trocken "Kreid", Pfalz, Germany

Firm, deep, dense and complex, calm, somewhat planty, reminiscent of pak choi, also herbal and floral, hints of yellow-spicy aromas with citrus and stone fruit aromas, nutty hints, hints of sesame, a trace of yeast and quite clear, light mineral tones. Quite dry, dense fruit with nutty, vegetal and floral tones, relatively clear fennel and some anise on the palate, fine acidity, some grip, good substance and persistence, smoky traces in the background, a little almond, buttery tones, lots of chalky-salty minerality, compact structure, deep and multi-layered, still very slightly muted, very good, firm finish, again with fennel-like vegetal aromas, plus vineyard peach and red berries.
