The winery is located in the municipality of Bacharach (Loreley area) in the German Mittelrhein wine growing region. The estate is managed by Jochen Ratzenberger junior in the third generation of the family. It also rents out holiday apartments. The vineyards comprise 22 hectares of vineyards in the individual locations of Kloster Fürstental, Posten and Wolfshöhle (Bacharach), Fürstenberg (Oberdiebach) and St. Jost (Steeg). They are predominantly planted with Riesling and the varieties Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Rivaner.
Wine-growing is practised in a near-natural, environmentally friendly manner. The wines are produced according to the VDP classification model. Sweet and noble sweet predicate wines are a speciality. Bottle-fermented Riesling sparkling wines are also produced. The products are exported to Belgium, Switzerland and the USA (UNO New York). The winery is a member of the VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter).
