2014 Alsheim Riesling trocken Ortswein, Rheinhessen, Germany

Slightly vegetal, earthy and nutty scent with yellow-fruity notes that are quite reminiscent of root vegetables, some pepper and herbs. Not quite dry, slightly creamy fruit, again lots of root vegetables and earthy notes, herbaceous, salty and peppery notes, fairly prominent acidity and some sandy tannins, fairly persistent, slightly warm alcohol, wilted floral notes, good to very good finish with candy notes and sweet wine gum.
