2016 Escherndorf Lump Riesling trocken VDP.Erste Lage, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Cool nose, still slightly muted, yeasty, nutty and delicate floral notes, restrained yellow fruit, some yellow spice, light earthy and mineral notes. Ripe, firm, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, taut acidity, yeasty notes, light herbaceous and floral traces, firm grip, salty traces, good persistence, still largely undeveloped and still slightly muted, but also has substance, very good firm, juicy finish.
