2016 Escherndorf Am Lumpen 1655 Silvaner Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Fairly firm youthful nose, floral and light vegetal notes, pomaceous fruit and a touch of citrus, herbaceous and prominent mineral notes, delicate yeasty touch and some bread. Still fairly closed on the palate, muted ripe, juicy, bone dry fruit, very elegant, lively acidity, light touch of yeast and bread again, prominent mineral notes, prominent ripe grippy tannins, full body, has depth, remains fairly cool, hint of bacon in the background, very firm structure, long, taut finish with intense mineral notes. Definitely needs time to mature.
