2022 Bingen Kirchberg Riesling VDP.Grosses Gewächs, Rheinhessen, Germany

Deep, rather calm stone fruit aroma with vegetative to herbal nuances, crustaceans, a hint of maple, moss, and damp undergrowth. Ripe, juicy, quite sweet fruit, a bit of candy, also ethereal-herbal and slightly peppery spice, a hint of smoke on the palate, suggested forest mushrooms, red and black berry tones, persistent, salty, very good, quite firm, again also candy-sweet finish with dark ethereal spice.
