2022 Chardonnay trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Relatively cool and rather tart, clear, distinctly vegetal nose with citrus and pome fruit aromas, floral traces, a hint of savoy cabbage and light oak nuances. Ripe, clear, slightly sweetish fruit, fine acidity, vegetal flavours reminiscent of pulses and again a little light wood, smoky traces on the palate, moderate tannic grip, certain persistence and substance, good to very good finish with green pulses, juicy-fruity notes and again a certain sweetness. Would be even more precise and exciting without the slight residual sugar.
