2009 Ahrweiler Rosenthal Spätburgunder trocken, Ahr, Germany

Clear tobacco, dried-herbaceous and earthy-mineral nose with woody and floral tones, noticeable alcohol and notes of dried berries. Soft, blurry, tart fruit on the palate, oak, earth and tobacco, slightly astringent tannins, alcohol-rich on the palate and somewhat brittle wood, spreads wide, mineral notes in the background, traces of smoke and soot, good, tart, alcohol-rich finish with lots Fat. Somewhat matt and broad in its overripe and woody nature.
