2019 Hallgarten Jungfer Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Clear, cool and rather fine, quite deep, a little floral and herbal nose of citrus fruits, some citrus zest and stone fruit with distinct mineral notes, fine vegetable oil, hints of yeast, tobacco, morels and delicate yellow spice. Firmly woven, bright, tart fruit, planty and yeasty notes, fine, relatively present acidity, grip of crumbly tannin, persistent, downright cold minerality on the palate, elegant style, has a certain lightness of foot, a hint of dark berries, very fine smoky tones, good depth, very tight, tart, gripping finish. Must mature.
