2002 Oestrich Lenchen Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese, Rheingau, Germany

Extremely deep and still completely undeveloped, complex, racy, but still totally dominated by botrytis. Extremely concentrated, almost oily, dried fruit, sugar candy, dark honey, very elegant, delightfully racy acidity, tremendous presence on the palate, perfect balance, but still quite unready to drink, some malt, really big body, never-ending finish. Needs a good decade, if not much longer, to show its true potential.
