2022 Pinot Noir Landwein trocken unfiltriert, Franconia/Franken, Germany

A somewhat nutty scent of dark berries and cherries with herbal and earthy-plant nuances, hinted at by Christmas spices, pomegranate, and a touch of baking chocolate. Quite juicy dark fruit with vibrant acidity, some carbonation, fresh-plant to herbal spice, and a bit of blood orange, crumbly-sandy, youthful tannin, smoky and slightly roasted aromas, again a bit of baking cocoa, which rather hinders the present freshness, a slight bittersweet nuance, meaty traces, salt in the background, good substance, very good finish.
