2016 Lorch Kapellenberg Riesling trocken vom Löss, Rheingau, Germany

Reductive, yeasty nose, still totally undeveloped, mature apples and some stone fruit, earthy and vegetal notes, some white pepper. Restrained sweetish fruit on the palate, initially almost unapproachable, prominent vegetal and earthy notes, fairly prominent acidity, slightly rough, noticeable tannins, yeasty notes, touch of carbon dioxide, slightly persistent, still slightly brittle, firm bite and cool herbaceous aromas on a good finish. Needs time to mature.
