2019 Steinbach Nonnenberg Silvaner trocken "['drai]", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Nutty, vegetable, and slightly mushroomy aroma with core fruit-focused yellow fruit flavors, along with some kohlrabi and bacon. Ripe, juicy, yet tart fruit, quite pronounced wood spice, smoky and candied-nutty tones, a hint of cocoa and butter, very fine acidity, a bit of grip from tannin, lots of melt and a certain warmth from alcohol on the palate, in the background also salt, some rock candy and forest mushrooms, good to very good, warm, melting and woody finish with a bit of grip.
