2009 Dernau Pfarrwingert Frühburgunder Grosses Gewächs, Ahr, Germany

Nutty nose, light dried vegetal notes, hint of tobacco, partly preserved red and black berries, malted notes,hint of mushrooms, earthy and mineral notes. Ripe, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, light nutty, toasted oak, some more malted notes, hint of dried tomatoes, fine tannins, light nite, excellent substance and good depth, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, but also has cool mineral notes, quite complex, herbaceous traces, hint of tobacco on a very good, juicy finish.
