Somewhat undergrowthy, nutty, dried planty and hints of animal scents of ripe dark berries with a hint of Amarena cherries and nuances reminiscent of wasabi. Ripe, tart dark fruit with a slight acid bite, a hint of laurel, some nutty wood spice, fine sandy tannin, quite good substance and persistence, earthy-mineral tones, hints of coffee grounds in the good to very good, slightly bitter finish.
